The inactive Chief of Ngada Police, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja, has been implicated in an alleged pedophilia scandal. The police revealed that the case came to light after a molestation video recorded by Fajar was leaked in Australia.

The Director of the General Criminal Investigation Department of the NTT Regional Police, Commissioner Patar Silalahi, stated that Fajar’s actions were exposed after the International Relations Division (Divhubinter) of the Indonesian National Police received information and video footage from the Australian Federal Police (AFP) regarding suspected child sexual abuse in Kupang City.

The letter containing this information was received by the NTT Regional Police from Divhubinter on Thursday (January 23, 2025). The letter confirmed a case of child sexual abuse committed by a police officer.

Following this, the NTT Regional Police's General Criminal Investigation Department immediately launched an investigation and sought clarification from the hotel owner, where the molestation allegedly took place. The police then examined seven witnesses, including hotel staff and management.

"Finally, on Friday (February 14, 2025), we obtained the investigation results, confirming that child sexual abuse had indeed occurred," Patar stated on Tuesday (March 11, 2025), as quoted by detikBali.
